MARPA is excited to see you at the 2024 China PMA Parts Management Seminar in Guangzhou on March 21-22, 2024! If you haven’t already begun the process to apply for your visa, you’ll need to act swiftly! MARPA has assembled some helpful information for your visa process.
Our 2024 China PMA Parts Management Seminar hosts at Oppland Air have recommended that U.S. attendees who will not engage in trade should obtain a Tourist Visa (L) to enter China. However, attendees are responsible for applying for the type of visa appropriate to their intended trip. The PRC Consulate’s visa website contains the requirements and procedures needed to figure out what kind of via you’ll need and what steps you can take to move ahead.

If you aren’t already an APEC Business Travel Card holder, you’ll need to check with the Chinese consulate to be sure that visitors from your country need a visa to enter China. Great news for delegates from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia – you’ve recently joined the 15-day visa-free travel policy!
All attendees can request an invitation letter from Oppland Air to submit with their application. Please email the following information to Echo SUN, Marketing Director, Oppland Air Media.
- your full name (as shown on your passport)
- your gender
- your nationality
- your passport number
- your passport expiry date
All visa applications for U.S. attendees submitted to the Chinese consulate (or prepared by a visa service) will need to be accompanied by supporting documents that you must assemble, including:
- Your Passport, more than 6 months prior to expiration and containing at least 2 blank visa pages
- A photocopy of the bio information page of your passport
- The appropriate COVA Visa Form with an approved photo
- (Please log on to https://cova.mfa.gov.cn to select the consulate office at which you will apply, and fill out the form online)
- If you’ve ever had a Chinese visa in the past, a photocopy of the previous passport’s data page/photo page and Chinese visa page
- Proof of Residence like your state-issued driver’s license, or a utility bill or bank statement issued within the last 6 months
- A “Where You Stay Form” with a handwritten signature, indicating that you are currently in the United States
- Proof of legal residence status and supporting documents if the applicant is not a native of the United States
- A photocopy of any documents changing the applicants’ name, if applicable
- Confirmation of the Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures For China-bound Travelers policy
While MARPA has not used any visa processing services personally and doesn’t officially endorse any particular providers, the following visa services are well reviewed online:
- Passport Visas Express
- G3 Global Services
- Oasis China Visa Services
- My China Visa
- Travisa
- Visa For China
Please contact the processor of your choice directly with any questions about their services.
You or a visa service proxy must apply in person at the consulate. In the U.S., that means one of the six consulate locations nationwide- but be advised! There are often a large queue of applicants waiting to be served each day, so the process is not typically swift. Any errors, omissions, or exceptions on your submitted forms, photos, and supporting documents will also cause a delay, and may require you to re-submit your application until all of the paperwork submitted meets with approval. Regular processing is expected to take four business days and expedited service three days, when applicants can return to pick up their passports complete with a new visa. Please note that all consulate locations will likely experience a processing delay in February due to closures for the Spring Festival and President’s Day holidays.
Once you’ve completed the visa process, make sure you’ve submitted your registration form to Oppland and get ready to meet all of the new customers and opportunities you’ll find at the event!
