MARPA needs your help to continue our partnership with the Market Development Cooperator Program (“MDCP”) run by the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA). This program helps MARPA to continue to fund and organize international education about PMA parts. If you’re not familiar with the program, the MDCP is a matching grant program of the Commerce Department designed to help companies increase their exports and support U.S. jobs and the U.S. economy. Many longstanding MARPA events have been supported in part by this grant, giving MARPA an opportunity to increase member opportunities in new markets. This funding has been foundational to our ability to promote PMA around the world and advocate for increasing exports of U.S. manufactured PMA parts.
As a condition of the program, MARPA has an obligation to report to ITA our members’ recorded export increases. MARPA needs your help to fulfill this obligation! Providing this information to the ITA allows us to continue to use the grant as intended for the remainder of the program term.
You can complete a simple, secure online fillable survey to report your data on recent exports of PMA parts. Acknowledging our member’s sensitive business needs, MARPA will assure that any information provided will be kept confidential. Our reporting consists of a compiled, anonymous report shared with ITA – your company name and data will not be shared beyond MARPA staff.
The survey is easily accessible at this link and only requires a few entries: exports traceable to a MARPA effort under the MDCP program (e.g. MARPA Europe Conference, MARPA Annual Conference, other trade show presence); the country to which PMA was exported / will be exported in the future based on a contract sale; and the value of the export / future export. No other details regarding business entity or products are required, although we welcome any additional details as considerations for future programs. Ideally, your exports reported will reflect MARPA’s PMA educational outreach and trade facilitation. These data reports are presented to Congress in an effort to continue the funding supporting U.S. exports in various industries. We will also use these measuring points to inform our future efforts of promoting FAA-PMA parts in global markets to increase effects on our members’ exports.
Your help with this survey is greatly appreciated and will help serve our continued efforts to expand the PMA market internationally. We must send this data to keep supporting PMA education around the world. Maintaining this partnership with ITA is essential to help promote increased exports of U.S. manufactured parts, a large component of our members’ business.
