Air Carriers Withdraw from Voluntary Safety Programs, Just as Congress Seeks to Mandate Them

Just as Comair’s mechanics have chosen to withdraw from the FAA’s ASAP, Congress has passed a law that will require FAA to make a rule requiring air-carrier participation in programs like ASAP.
