Jason Mahoney, Director of Engineering  – BA, to Keynote 2018 MARPA EMEA Conference

MARPA is extremely pleased to announce that Jason Mahoney, Director of Engineering  – British Airways, will join the agenda as Keynote speaker for the 2018 MARPA EMEA Conference from May 2-3, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland at the Hilton Dublin Kilmainham.

Jason Mahoney began his career at British Airways as an Engineering Apprentice back in 1989 and held various positions until departing in 2008 to become Director of Engineering at British Midland International. Soon after his appointment bmi was purchased by Lufthansa and the engineering division continued to operate autonomously, managing its own fleet maintenance. Mahoney was appointed Director of Engineering and Maintenance of TUI Group in 2014, charged with uniting the group’s five independent engineering and maintenance establishments – to create one pan-European organization. He rejoined British Airways at the end of 2016 as Director of Engineering with responsibility for the Part 145 organization.

One of the United Kingdom’s largest airlines, British Airways (BA) is also the country’s flag carrier. Established in 1974, BA is a founding member of the Oneworld alliance. It flies to more than 160british airways destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Oceania. BA also has codeshare agreements with about 25 other carriers. BA’s fleet, which is the largest of any UK airline, consists of 295 aircraft. British Airways Engineering maintains an impressive range of aircraft is in their extensive facilities. Based in the UK, their team of 2000 highly skilled engineers working across 30 hangar bays can execute any requirements necessary, from a rapid response casualty unit through to major maintenance and structural repairs. They are focused on safety, delivery, reliability and value.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 2018 MARPA EMEA Conference provides an excellent opportunity for our members to meet and network with their international customers.
