MARPA Announces Iván González Vallejo of Iberia Maintenance as Keynote Speaker for 2021 MARPA Spring Virtual Event

MARPA is proud to announce that Iván González Vallejo, Director Strategy and Supply Chain, Iberia Maintenance will serve as a keynote speaker for the 2021 MARPA Spring Virtual Event.

In Mr. González Vallejo’s time working with with Iberia Maintenance, he has been part of the Executive Committee for the past five years. He is currently Director Strategy and Supply Chain, having previously held other positions: Director Components, Inventory, and Logistics, and Head of Strategic Planning and Transformation. Previously, he worked as a Strategy and Management Consultant for McKinsey and Company and as a Project Manager in the International Airlines Group. Iván is a trained Aerospace Engineer with a Masters in Spacecraft design and a Masters in Business Administration by IESE Business School.

Throughout his career, Iván has taken an interest and focus in business transformation and turnaround. Most recently, he was tasked to integrate all supply chain functions across Iberia Maintenance implementing the recipes that were successful in the refurbishment of Iberia’s Component business: algorithm-based material planning; restructuring of vendor landscape; partnership establishment and continuous improvement. In the last years, Iberia has successfully implemented a partnership to foster the use of PMA and DER in Iberia’s Component business and is actively participating in developing alternative product offerings in the engine landscape, specifically in CFM56-5B/7B and V2500.

Iberia Maintenance delivers premium MRO services for 320s, 330 and 340. All operators can benefit from our component repair and overhaul expertise covering a wide service spectrum of all kind of components assembled in these fleets. Iberia Maintenance offers engine process on CFM56-5A1/-5B, CFM56-7B, V2500 & RB211-535E4, but also power generation systems, associated accessories and thrust reversers. Iberia Maintenance provides line maintenance services in Madrid, Barcelona and some 50 strategically-located sites around the world. The aircraft engine workshops provide maintenance and engineering services to engines, thrust reversers, auxiliary power generation systems, and a wide range of related accessories.

At its Madrid facilities, Iberia Maintenance boasts more than 14,500 m2, a testing bench with a capacity of 90,000 pounds of thrust, and six specialized production lines for inspection, repair, replacement, and testing of accessories, instruments, and parts for Airbus and Boeing aircraft and their engines. They employ integrated management systems to ensure the optimization of offered services by including Lean, critical chain projects and other continuous improvement programs to ensure efficiency and quality as their objectives in all processes.
