After 39 years with the Department of Commerce, Fred Elliott will be retiring from federal service. Fred has been a tireless proponent of safety and of the US Aerospace community during his tenure at the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration.

Today, MARPA recognized Fred’s years of dedicated service to the United States during MARPA’s EMEA Conference in Dublin. The text on the award read:
Mr. Elliott’s dedication and effort opened foreign markets and strengthened the international competitiveness of the United States aviation industry. His hard work ensured fair trade, benefited small companies as well as large ones, and supported compliance through education. He has been a true leader in the industry: consistently working with others to turn small government efforts into huge trade and investment gains for the United States.
We will miss Fred’s guidance and his friendship, but we are excited to work with Bob McEntire of ITA, who will take over many of Fred’s projects.
