The FAA has released a draft advisory circular (AC) that is meant to provide guidance and describe acceptable methods for demonstrating compliance with the engine control systems requirements of 14 C.F.R. 33.28. It is intended for those manufacturing or modifying electronic engine control systems (EECS).
PMA Parts manufacturers whose articles affect the EECS should review this guidance to ensure that it provides correct and useful information.
The information provided in this draft AC is meant to replace the guidance in AC 33.28-1 (June 29, 2001) and AC 33.28-2 (August 13, 2003).
